Have I given you my name card? Or have I at least shown you? Here…if I haven’t done the latter. Let me know, then, if I haven’t done the former. I would like to ‘get rid’ of these name cards, by the way. It hasn’t been easy. Not just because I don’t have that many friends or business contacts, but I printed 1000 pieces of them. So, you can imagine what pleasure it gave me to hand them out to my diploma students last year. Simple joy, eh?
The nawaitu for this post wasn’t at all about this name card yang ditempah khas online. Echeh! I went to three different printers around KL to get something similar to this design, but none had a proper catalogue! “Tengok sini saja laa, ni semua kita sudah buat.” Pointing at the business cards berselerak in the display cabinet. For business’ sake, how much would it take to get a business card holder/album?
Anyway, back to the nawaitu.
I was thinking about this last week. An interesting one, I must say. Especially towards the weekend. Wednesday was my last work load, my mo-ke-Jepang students had their final exam uneventfully (except for the cordless microphone that envied suara lemak merdu ku). Thursday, we threw a surprise birthday mini party for Bibik. The Isetan’s Tiramisu cake was taihen oishi desu! A nice wallet from Ka Cher, pretty hair clips from Sai Lo and his Pak Tor, and a watch from me.
We talked about going to another movie Thursday night, after Bibik’s birthday makan-makan. To watch Mukhsin, of course. But we talked ourselves out of it. Not fair for Bibik. It was her night. Plus we didn’t want to berebut as it was the first day showing. We are going this week when it’s hopefully a bit more quiet. Then only can feeling-feeling, maa. And actually, quietly…I am thinking of my own first-love story. Takut ter-revisit terover-over. Bah!
Friday was uneventful.
