Edrick has been at The Gleneagles Hospital since Tuesday night. Well, no, Wednesday morning (0230hrs). History repeating itself. Pneumonia. My mistake, leaving it too long before taking him to see a real doctor. My mistake taking him to Dr Quack, who gave Edrick 8 different types of oral medication, on Sunday. I should have known oral medication would not cut it for this boy. I should have known better.
Edrick’s in good spirit, though confused, restless and insecure. This morning, his blood test came back positive for microplasma. So, another antibiotic. Unfortunately, there is no other way but this one has to be taken orally. Two nurses came and helped me make war with my own son. If it wasn’t a prayer that I heard one of the nurses walking out saying, they must have been curse words. Poor nurses.
I am home right now, just taking a few more minutes blurting my thoughts in words here. Soon enough, I’ll be off to the hospital again. Writing this makes me realize that I have so much to be thankful for. So much so, that I think I will have to come up with a proper list tonight when Edrick goes to bed. I thank God for my good health, though I am still coughing like a mad dog. But most of all I thank God for caffeine, and my capability to afford good doses at Dome downstairs.

Enida dear, Edrick is sooo chubby and cute! Anyway, my kids used to have so many illnesses especially my son. Now they both have become stronger and healthier ever since the honey intake. I was given this pure honey (Majesty from Iran)and not wanting it to go to waste, I give them a teaspoon each every morning. And Alhamdulillah, running nose gone, asthma, tonsilitis, that monthly fever too and they have that wee bit extra energy which is driving me crazy right now. I reckon all pure honey works that way( not sure if cap Majesty ni je yang special nya) Honey yang my kids makan tu can be found at tesco, gerai2 jamu kat luar tu. Now, whenever they look like they are developing a bad cough ke or running nose ke after a long day outside, I terus bagi that extra spoon.
