Yours truly actually has a tankful of candies leftover from Halloween to give each and every one who had me in mind today – and would still have half a tankful of candies for those who didn’t think of me. Because I am pretty sure on any other day, I have been on your mind more often than I have been on your nerves. Aye? (Thanks KaCher, for lending me the expression!)
Nonetheless, in alphabetical order, I would like to thank:

A special mention of Bahtiar Mohamad who jussssssttt sent me a birthday wish from snowy London to snowy-er Moscow. Thanks Baht! And oh, another Londoner, Nor Fadzlinda Ishak, just wished me Happy Birthday too. Thanks Linda. I love this! I love celebrating my birthday in Moscow. It’s longer! 🙂
I did have a great day, despite sniffling and sneezing in between cups of honeyed Earl Grey. The snow came back in my honor. Indeed, Nicola, sure felt like it did… and to your delight too, eh? More sledding, more tobogganing, more laughter from the kids playing outside this week. Hurray!
And hurray to another year well lived!
Your tulisan?Jawdropping you!Makes me wonder if they have ‘Enida Font’ somewhere.LOL.
Oooh, #36 that’s me!
Aww, thank you.I wish more people would learn the art of ‘thank you’ kan?Like writing ‘thank you’ notes when receiving wedding gifts/ang pow.Makes me wonder if that is still a practice.
I’d love to have my kids to write thank-you notes. It’s not hoity-toity, I just think it embodies the whole sopan-santun-budi-bicara thing you know.Penat jer gomen buat kempen budi-bahasa, ye tak?
Thank you Lisa, thank you, thank you!
Well, speaking of font… actually I once found this software yang supposedly can ‘create’ our handwriting font. I bought it online dengan harga CAD$9.99 or somewhere there lah. But tak boleh pun! I searched high and low kat kedai puter kat Calgary nun. Hemmmpphh! Hampa belaka. Terus terpogedid sampailah now that you mentioned it. What I did find (and what worked well) was a font called ‘Chinacat’ that looks pretty much like my handwriting. Basta lah.
Yes you are at the number of my age last year!
I agree with you on the Thank-You notes. I am lucky because Kitreena has started to mengikut jejak langkahku membazir kertas almost everyday in the name of arty farty buat ‘I Love You’ cards lah, ‘Thank You’ cards lah, ‘How Are You Feeleeng, Mommy?’ cards lah.
Now that I have seen a little bit of the outside world, I don’t think orang kita pedulik sama ada dia berbudi bahasa or not. I mean, how many times do you say Terima Kasih to cashiers supermarket Gergasi kah, supermarket Kafu kah that the cashiers would say ‘Sama-sama’ back to you? Don’t let me start on pelayan-pelayan Restoran Pondok Piza dan Restoran Ayam Goreng Kentutki lah kan. Mana ada ‘Terima Kasih’ dan ‘Sama-Sama’ dalam perbendaharaan kata mereka itu.

i remember marvelling at your handwritten notes, ingatkan you pakai typewriter 🙂
Ida,
Bak kata pepatah, “Kalau tak dipecahkan ruyung manakan dapat sagunya”. Begitulah my fingers yang bagai nak pecah kena ketuk dengan my Dad’s ash tray (made from peluru meriam)! I remember when I was in elementary, he was a dictator when it came to schoolwork. But the thing is, he was very garang only with me sebab I was the malas and slow one. I was not allowed to use eraser. He would yell, “Think before you write! Think before you write!” Everytime I made mistakes, my fingers kena ketuk. I never thanked my Dad for what he used to ketuk me. But I did thank him for his “Think before you write!” philosophy.
I like your handwriting. 🙂 Bold and Beautiful
Thank you Meena. Thank you! 🙂
You know you’d get a cake from me if you were still in the brick house, don’t you?
