When I picked Kitreena up at school on Wednesday last week, she had a little flower in her hand. Purplish little bloom, long-stem, almost like a weed kind of flower. All she wanted to do with the poor detached blossom was to put it in a cup of water. She knew it was going to come back to life and grow a whole bush of purplish little blooms, long-stems and all. Bringing a weed back to life? Hmmm… ah well. So it’s a weed. So what. It’s still a life.
The truth was, not only that I had no faith that the single stem purplish flower could be revived, I also had no care for the weed. Until…
Kitreena proved me wrong!
I think Enida needs to learn a thing or two about faith from a child. She really does!
Kitreena makes me think a lot lately. She’s an angel.Kisses to her and the little Pocoyo too.
By the way, GREAT shot of said flower (in the banner).LOVED IT.Terasa whimsical gitu.
She does the same thing to her Mommy too, Lisa. Sure makes me think of my childhood, sure makes me think of her another 5 and 10 years from now. For almost everyday now this week, she’s been saying that she misses me when she’s in school. She thinks about me when I am not there with her. I never thought she would miss me at all, considering how garang I am MOST of the time. I am very very very strict with her. Tak kasik peluang punya.
I even wonder if she reads my blog when she’s 25 or 30, she’s going to roll her eyes sebab macam tak percaya je it is the same Mom yang tulis. Padahal garang nak Memphis!
Cantikla Enida, the long stem purplish flower ni. I love wild flowers, over here wild flowers mean kemuncup like ones which could be found in abundance in my garden. Lama tak mesin rumput daaaaaaaaa.
Wiz, I agree with you. When I first saw the flower in Kitreena’s hand at school… eesshhh! I actually did ask her to campak buang je. But I didn’t push it when she insisted to bawak balik letak dalam secawan air. But the very next morning, the long stem yang asalnya memang terkulai layu di pangkuan bumi tak berseri itu telah kembali segar dan naik tegak. I was embarassingly surprised!
Since it was a good lesson about faith that I learned, I thought of taking pictures of it. They would serve to remind me one day if I forget. The pictures turned out not too bad. I am glad I believed what Kitreena said. Hehe.
I remember masa kecik mengutip kemuncup banyak-banyak letak dalam botol. Lawa apa? Digubah pulak dengan some pink bunga semalu (mimosa pudica) and yellow dandelions. Kalah jambangan bunga mak datin!
